What is Rowan building in Temple?

Rowan Digital Infrastructure is currently building the Temple Data Center on a roughly 700-acre site east of downtown Temple. This site has been designated by the city and county for data center development and received unanimous approvals from city and county officials in the summer of 2025. We are also proposing to develop the smaller Stampede Data Center project, which is located on about 200 acres closer to Interstate 190, on land also designated for industrial development.
